Selected Choreographic Fellows will be announced by April 13, 2026.

THE APPLICATION

All applications must include a summary of relevant ballet experience, a clear project proposal, and video links to YouTube or Vimeo containing no more than 10 minutes of selected choreography. Please do not submit showreels in which the music does not correspond to the choreography.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

Application materials are screened and evaluated by the New York Choreographic Institute’s Artistic Staff and a selected review committee made up of NYCI alumni. Candidates are selected based on their talent, musicality, experience and innovation within the classical ballet idiom. Selected choreographers are invited to participate in one of two sessions, either the Session with New York City Ballet dancers or the Session with School of American Ballet (SAB) dancers.
